Hotel Mauritskade Amsterdam

New design and renovation of the building for a 4+ star hotel with 120 rooms and underground parking in Amsterdam.

The building is built in 1908 and is located on the Mauritskade 61 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The architect J.B. Springer (1854-1922) was an employee of the department of public works of the City Amsterdam. Other great building he designed is the City Theatre at Leidse Plein in Amsterdam. The building on the Mauritskade 61 is designed for the University of Amsterdam as Anatomical Laboratory.

The building will be redeveloped as a 4+ star hotel with 120 rooms. The building is built in an ‘U-shape’. The open part is a courtyard which opens to the Eastern Park. The new plan covers a new construction for the extension of the hotel and an underground parking for approx. 70 vehicles.

Expected completion in 2018-2019.
